Frank the founder and owner of NYC walking Tours, is born and raised in Brooklyn New York. Being a native New Yorker, allowed him to fill the tours with that New York spirit. His well educated tour guides lead tours that on the most comprehensive, fun and entertaining tours in New York City.
DOWNTOWN WALKING TOUR
The downtown walking tour offers picturesque tree-lined streets with beautiful brownstones on each side. This three mile walking tour will visit historical neighborhoods, Washington Square Park, the cast-iron buildings of Soho, the hustle and bustle of Chinatown and ending our tour at the World Trade Center.

BROOKLYN WALKING TOUR
This historical walking tour starts in the Brooklyn Heights section of New York City. As we travel back in time along the tree line street, we will talk about how Brooklyn shaped the history of New York City and the United States. Wandering the streets of Brooklyn wood frame homes close to 250 years old will guide our way towards the famous Brooklyn Bridge where you will see some of the best city views!
HIGH LINE WALKING TOUR

SUBWAY WALKING TOUR
Our walking tour guide will give us the secret history and inside story of the creation of the original 1904 subway line and how it grew into the most extensive transportation system in the world.
All the art, all the history, all the technical breakthroughs, all the "whys" and all the shenanigans that went into this spectacular achievement. This is unique experience for seasoned locals or new members to our great city.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM TOURS?
Yes! Please visit our contact page and drop us a line. Let us know what parts of the city or what types of sites you would like to see, and the dates you have in mind. Prices vary based on the length of the tour, the number of people and the areas covered.
CAN KIDS TAKE THE TOURS?
YES!! Kids are more then welcome to join the tour. Please keep in mind we will be on our feet for long periods of time!
DO YOU DO FOOD TOURS?
Not at the moment. We do usually have a stop on the tour where you may purchase a snack, and we'll be happy to recommend restaurants at the end of the tour.
DO THE TOURS STILL RUN IN BAD WEATHER (E.G. RAIN, SNOW, HEAT)?
With the exception of major storms such as blizzards, hurricanes or some similar event, we run our tours rain or shine. We will make every effort to avoid inclement weather by spending more times indoors or undercover. However, be sure to wear the proper clothes for the weather, and bring an umbrella if necessary (we cannot provide them). In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel a tour, we will let you know immediately and reschedule the tour or refund your fee.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR ON THE TOUR?
Since this is a walking tour, wear something that you'll be comfortable touring around in for three hours. Definitely have comfortable shoes, and layer your clothes in the spring, fall and winter, as temperatures vary more in these months.
CAN I TAKE PICTURES ON THE TOUR?
We encourage it! Along the way, we'll point out some good photo opportunities and will even take the picture for you if you want to be in it.
SHOULD WE TIP THE TOUR GUIDE?
In NYC, it's generally customary to tip your guide if you enjoyed the tour.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
All tours are required to have a deposit, but we offer your money back for any cancellations more than 72 hours from the tour. Cancellations less than 72 hours before the tour will receive a credit for a future date, but no money returned. No-shows (those scheduled for a tour who simply don't arrive) will forfeit their deposit plus a fee of $50.00.
For custom and private tours, we require pre-payment at least two weeks prior, and the last day for cancellation with refund is one week prior to the tour.
